    • If funds allow, each contributor will receive a free full bundle of zine + merch. If funds do not allow, contributors will be able to purchase items at production + shipping cost, and receive all digital items free. If possible, we also intend to reimburse chefs at least partially for items used in creating and testing their recipes.

A zine is a physical or digital self-published mini magazine that is available for a limited amount of time and with a limited printing. Zines can be made by individuals or groups (our zine will be by a collaborative group!). Moderators organize and facilitate the zine’s creation, while contributors create the pieces to go inside the zine as well as merch to accompany it. Zines aren’t always fandom based, though they usually have a theme. Our theme is Trigun and cooking, or more specifically, a Trigun cookbook.🍩    Will this zine include ships?  
No, this is a general project. The focus will be on food & fun! 🍝🌭🍜🍕🌈🌼🍩    Will this zine be SFW or NSFW?  
This will be a SFW project. However, we recognize that Trigun is an adult media, and any milder mature themes (such as light blood, background alcohol, etc.) contributors wish to include may be evaluated on a case by case basis between the contributor(s) and mods during pitching/creation.🍩    Do I need to have a Discord account?  
Yes, a Discord account is required if you are accepted into the zine. All announcements, updates, and general communications to contributors will be done in the zine’s server.🍩    Are minors allowed in the zine?  
Contributors must be 16 or older at the time of applying in order to join the zine.🍩    Can I apply for more than one position?  
Yes! But you can only be accepted for one position.🍩    Will we be able to ask for feedback on applications?  
No, as we will be dedicating our efforts toward kicking off the creation period of the zine and welcoming in contributors.🍩    Are AUs allowed?  
To an extent, yes. We want to adhere to the canon universe as much as possible, but variations within the canon universes can be discussed during pitching.🍩    How do check-ins work?  
Check-ins are times throughout the creation period where your pieces will be submitted to the mods to showcase progress. Details of what is expected for each check-in will be provided in the designated channels in our Discord server. The dates for each check-in are provided on our schedule, and in more detail in the Discord server.🍩    Will extensions be allowed?  
Definitely! We will announce reminders prior to every due date. If you need one, you’ll be able to ask in the designated channels or message a mod directly.🍩    What happens if I miss a deadline?  
That depends on whether you communicate with us. We’re happy to work with contributors and extend (most) deadlines as needed, and in return ask that you keep track of those deadlines and let us know as soon as you can if you think you may miss one. We will be very firm on the final submission dates in order to assemble the zine timely. If you feel that you will not be able to meet a deadline, please ask for an extension sooner rather than later!Failure to respond to announcements and reminders regarding deadlines, inform a mod of your absence, or show us progress of your work by one week after the first check-in will result in removal from the project. (Remember, this only applies if you fail to communicate your absence(s)). If you inform us of any delays in advance and manage to show us progress of your work, you will not be removed from the project. We understand that life and health come first.🍩    What are the zine’s rules regarding harassment?  
The use of slurs, hate speech, threats, other harassment (including via ship discourse), and the like will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the zine.Kindness and respect are required from everyone in this project.
